Quadzilla

Quadzilla
9'6 x 24 x 3, bat tail quad with a box for the option
tiki loaned me his board a couple of weeks ago, i have surfed it a couple of times,
it is the first quad over 6ft, that i have ridden, its real different from the log style that i usally ride, but its got me interested, i recommend that if you get a chance try one out, you never know it might just be perfect for you....

blue bucket

The Blue Bucket was My old friend ROY MEISELS' of Bare Nature surfboards Byron Bay Ford Commer , he had it for years and won many a carton of grog for continually getting it through Rego. A big 6 with a 3 speed gearbox and enough room to get a 10 footer in, on one of the windows there was a large sticker thet summed her up ,it said "SOUL".

norm

In
1963 I stood up on my first surfboard ,
I had been a
competitive swimmer when I lived out west but when i came across the Big wide ocean , no more 2 kilometre a day training for me ,I was hooked and the board that I surfed the most in those early years was a borrowed NORM CASEY or two ,off my friends. I hate to say it now but then I thought they were the best boards I had ever surfed , BUT , since I stated to try and surf this old NORM a few years ago my memories got shattered but, not too badly , the old girl does OK but when you want to drive her down the line she felt like she had brakes and would suck you back up into the tube and goodbye. The old were good then, but changes and design innovations, make you realise ,that what you thought was good then, ain't now, so , don't dwell on the past use what you know now for tomorrow there is always something new, something better, yet Norm was my youth Norm was me at 15........I LOVED YOU NORM!

Wanye's board

This is Wayne Lyndons' new 9'1" X22 3/4" that was finished last week, the first of the pintail, roundtail in a longboard that I've done for some time. Wayne was the number 1 Glasser at SHANES when I worked at Peter CLARKES in 69 and 70 and for him to glass 10 boards a day then (and they were all tape ups, tints and pigments) was the norm. I evenutally ended up working with him at McOYS on the Central Coast at Avoca in the 80s where I was the sander and fin man, as you can see we go back a long way . I shaped , and did the hand drawn decals and Wayne glassed and sanded it, at the moment I'm in the middle of making a Bamboo fin for the box, after he saw the ones I was making for other orders . She came out looking sweet, with nice curves that you seem to always get with pintails and the smile on Waynes face was the one when he first saw it after it was shaped

Bamboo

the new bamboo single fins i have made for fin boxes
they are ready for the final filler coat

these fins are also hand foiled and can be custom made

the next batch will be available at selected surf shops soon

i can also make bamboo fins to be glassed on as well if you want something special for your next board feel free to contact in you have enquires

foiling

have been busy foiling some new fins and making a new longboard for a friend

some of my fins will be available from local surfshops soon stay tuned
all of them are hand foiled and can be custom made to suit
if you want some info or a custom made set or single please email me and i will make some up

Kerry's board

this is Kerry, a bay local and log lover

this was taken before a little sloppy session at the bay

it took a couple of surfs, but kez loves her Tiki mal,

its not as big as what it looks, its just kez is tiny

3 of a kind

here are the 3 boards made for me from tiki

the 5ft shred sled

7'2 single fin

and the 9'8 nose rider made especially for a little wave that i surf way to much,
it has a pulled in nose and a large sqaure tail, and a big flexy fin.

favourites

this wave would be one of the more fun waves on the north coast
