Mike Doyle.....I first saw him, at the 1964 world surfing titles at Manly australia,I was 16 and to this day and as much as I thought Midget Farrelly, did win it ,the best surfer I saw out of all of them, then was Mike Doyle, great style ,savage cutbacks, yeh he was real good.

1960s photos of Max Bowman and Robert Conneely at one of our local breaks Avoca Point, no leggies and lots of rocks waiting for their supper.

The paddleout for Midget was today13th August 2016, he made these in early 67 and they were such good surfable boards, and anyone who now rides one in the old log contests usually do really well

My favourite alltime shot, the pure joy of surfing by Bob McTavish at Point Cartwright in his prime, he was and is a flashy surfer fun to work and surf with.

Father and son, Billy and Jimmy Mclean, glassing at Mctavish,a rare shot to have them side by side, this would annoy the crap out of all glassers, but because of circumstances they both adapted and got on with it.

Paul made this for a customer in 1976, you couldn't get stringers like that unless you did them yourself, the owner walked in with it a few months ago and sold it to Paul what he paid for it brand new $150, it's in beautiful condition, a testament to how good Paul made his boards and always has, its 6'7"
