Ian Lindsay was a hot young surfer from Nth Avoca who became passionate about surboards and design ,he was hugely influenced by what we were making , which were very deep concaves and he made some wild but wonderful boards one of which you see here which I put up on the blog a while back... Ian became paraplegic after a bad motorccle accident in about 84 ,and still his passion for surfing was strong . The blue board is the third one he has made and with having no feel from the waist down ,designing a board for himself was a hit and miss, I wont go into it all but my admiration for everything he has done is huge ,so next time you see abeat up old light blue Kombi go past..... thats Ian and probably with his new board and like everything he does now he has to do it in a wheelchair.
