When I first started surfing in the early 60s the American influence in surfing and culture was all we new until we discovered what the Hawaiins " Aloha" was all about. The Yanks had given us something that to this day , in my mind, has moulded surfing in Australia and that was their term for a type of surfing called " HOTDOGGING" . This was the flamboyant and adventurous style of throwing aboard around regardless the size of the wave, but then surfing leaned heavily on the ultimate....tuberiding , coolness while doing it, and then.... with the advent of thrusters etc. serious professional ariel surfing took over ,but with the huge interest of retro boards with modern curves, Hotdogging is being reborn with the youngs guys lapping it up ..... this 5'9" is a hotdogger ,when its finished you stick some wax on it and eat the waves up.......
